Meet Nadia
Helping Women Feel Like Themselves Again
Women’s Mental Health • Pregnancy & Postpartum • Burnout • Motherhood
Hi, I’m Nadia Ramsaran, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), PSI Certified Perinatal Mental Health Professional (PMH-C), and Founder of Best Life Counseling Services.
I’m passionate about helping women navigate the challenges that come with balancing life’s many roles and responsibilities. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, burnout, relationship stress, pregnancy, postpartum adjustment, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself, therapy can provide a space to pause, reflect, and begin healing.
As a millennial woman, wife, mother, and daughter of immigrants from Guyana, I understand many of the competing demands, expectations, and identity shifts that women experience throughout different seasons of life. I know how easy it can be to prioritize everyone else’s needs while neglecting your own.
Who I Help
I enjoy working with women who are navigating:
- Burnout and overwhelm
- Pregnancy and postpartum challenges
- Motherhood and identity transitions
- Life transitions and personal growth
- Self-esteem and boundary-setting
Many of my clients come to therapy feeling exhausted from carrying so much on their own. Together, we’ll create a space where you can process your experiences, gain clarity, and develop practical tools to help you feel more like yourself again.
My Experience
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Redlands and my Master of Science in Counseling from Loma Linda University. Over the past decade, I have worked in schools, community mental health settings, medical environments, and private practice, supporting individuals and families through life’s challenges.
As a PSI Certified Perinatal Mental Health Professional (PMH-C), I have advanced training in supporting women through pregnancy, postpartum, fertility challenges, and the emotional transitions that often accompany motherhood.
My Approach
I believe therapy should feel both supportive and practical. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in helping you better understand yourself while building skills to navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence and self-compassion.
My goal is to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and empowered to make meaningful changes that align with the life you want to live.
Whether you’re navigating a difficult season or simply longing to feel more like yourself again, I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey.
You don’t have to do it all alone.
Dr. Carmen
Helping You Navigate Life’s Transitions with Confidence
| Life Transitions • Career Stress • Personal Growth |
Hi, I’m Dr. Carmen Stephens. I believe that even during life’s most difficult seasons, people are capable of growth, resilience, and meaningful change. As a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), and graduate of the University of Southern California’s doctoral program in Social Work, I bring both clinical expertise and a deep commitment to helping individuals navigate life’s transitions with confidence.
Life doesn’t always unfold the way we expect. Sometimes we find ourselves facing challenges that leave us feeling overwhelmed, discouraged, stuck, or uncertain about what comes next. Whether you’re navigating a major life transition, career change, relationship challenge, stress, anxiety, or recovering from difficult experiences, you don’t have to figure it all out alone.
I believe that every person possesses strengths and resilience, even during seasons when those qualities may feel difficult to access. My role is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your experiences, gain insight, and develop practical tools to help you move forward with confidence.
Who I Help
I enjoy working with adolescents and adults who are navigating:
- Anxiety and stress
- Life transitions and unexpected changes
- Career challenges and professional burnout
- Relationship concerns
- Self-esteem and personal growth
- Disability and chronic health-related adjustments
- Recovery from difficult life experiences
- Major life decisions and identity shifts
Many of my clients come to therapy feeling stuck between where they are and where they want to be. Together, we work to identify obstacles, build on strengths, and create meaningful change that aligns with their values and goals.
My Experience
Over the years, I have worked in community mental health, nonprofit organizations, public service programs, and rehabilitation settings. My experience includes supporting individuals affected by substance use, domestic violence, housing instability, career transitions, disability-related concerns, and re-entry into the community following significant life disruptions.
As a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, I bring a unique perspective to helping individuals adapt to change, overcome barriers, and rediscover their capabilities during challenging seasons of life.
As someone of diverse ethnic heritage, I value cultural awareness and strive to create an inclusive environment where clients feel respected, understood, and empowered.
My Approach
I view therapy as a collaborative partnership. You are the expert on your life, and together we’ll work toward the goals that matter most to you.
My approach is grounded in Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy. I tailor treatment to each individual’s unique needs, helping clients gain insight, develop coping skills, and take practical steps toward lasting growth.
Seeking support is a sign of strength, not weakness. Whether you’re working through a difficult season or striving to create positive change in your life, I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey.
I look forward to helping you build a life that feels more balanced, purposeful, and fulfilling.

Meet Shauni

Hi, I’m Shauni, and I’m so glad you’re here.
Becoming a parent can be one of the most meaningful experiences of your life—but it can also be one of the most overwhelming. Whether you’re adjusting to the emotional ups and downs of new motherhood, feeling disconnected from your partner, struggling to recognize yourself in this new season, or simply trying to keep up with the demands of daily life, you don’t have to navigate it alone.
I am passionate about supporting women and couples as they move through the transitions that come with pregnancy, postpartum, and parenthood. My goal is to provide a warm, supportive space where you can slow down, process your experiences, and feel understood without judgment.
Who I Help
I enjoy working with:

- Women navigating postpartum adjustment
- Individuals experiencing anxiety, stress, or life transitions
- Couples adjusting to life after baby
- Partners experiencing communication challenges or decreased intimacy
- Young adults navigating relationships, identity, and personal growth
Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed by the changes they’re experiencing. Together, we’ll work to help you feel more grounded, connected, and confident as you move through this season of life.
My Experience
I earned my Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University and have experience supporting individuals in both traditional and nontraditional therapeutic settings.
My background includes equine-assisted therapy, which deepened my appreciation for the healing power of connection, trust, and presence. I also bring over five years of experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), where I worked closely with children and families, helping them navigate behavioral and emotional challenges with patience, compassion, and collaboration.
These experiences have strengthened my passion for supporting individuals and families as they navigate growth, change, and life’s unexpected challenges.
My Approach
I take a warm, collaborative, and client-centered approach to therapy. I believe healing happens when people feel safe enough to be honest, supported enough to be vulnerable, and empowered enough to create meaningful change.
Together, we’ll explore what’s been weighing on you, identify patterns that may no longer be serving you, and develop practical tools to help you navigate challenges with greater confidence and self-compassion.
Whether you’re adjusting to motherhood, working to reconnect with your partner, or seeking support during a difficult season, I’m here to walk alongside you every step of the way.
I look forward to helping you create a life and relationships that feel more connected, balanced, and fulfilling.

Helping Women Heal from Trauma, Anxiety & Grief
| Trauma Recovery • Anxiety • Grief & Healing |
Hi, I’m Nicole Hernandez, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), and I’m so glad you’re here.
Reaching out for support takes courage, especially when you’ve been carrying the weight of anxiety, grief, trauma, or relationship challenges on your own. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, stuck in old patterns, or struggling to move forward after difficult experiences, know that you don’t have to navigate it alone.
I believe healing happens when we feel safe enough to explore our experiences, understood enough to be honest about our struggles, and supported enough to move toward change. My goal is to provide a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where you can show up exactly as you are.
Who I Help
I enjoy working with individuals who are navigating:
- Anxiety and chronic stress
- Depression and emotional overwhelm
- Grief and loss
- Trauma and difficult life experiences
- Relationship challenges
- Self-esteem and identity concerns
- Life transitions and personal growth
Many of my clients come to therapy feeling disconnected from themselves, weighed down by past experiences, or unsure of how to break free from patterns that no longer serve them. Together, we’ll work to better understand those experiences and create a path toward healing and growth.
My Approach
My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs. Some sessions may focus on processing emotions and gaining insight, while others may include practical tools and coping strategies to help you feel more grounded and supported in your daily life.
I understand that trauma can impact the way we view ourselves, our relationships, and the world around us. That’s why I strive to move at a pace that feels safe and comfortable, creating space for healing without judgment or pressure.
As a multi-racial therapist, I am committed to providing culturally responsive care and creating an environment where all parts of your identity are welcomed, respected, and valued.
Moving Forward
Therapy is not about fixing what’s “wrong” with you—it’s about understanding your story, honoring your experiences, and discovering new ways to move forward with greater confidence and self-compassion.
Whether you’re processing past trauma, coping with grief, managing anxiety, or navigating a difficult season of life, I would be honored to walk alongside you on your healing journey.
You don’t have to carry it all alone.

Our Clients
I was initially apprehensive, but turned hopeful when Nadia approached our work together with compassion, patience, and perception. She shared her observations and posed challenging questions without judgment, which gave me the space to grow consciously and subconsciously.

BLC Client
My loved ones have seen a positive change in the way that I approach challenging situations at home, at work, and in life. The best part about working with Nadia is knowing that I can be honest, and for better or worse, she will continue to work with me on a path towards a higher level of healing and self-discovery.

BLC Client
A friend encouraged me to try teletherapy when I found myself in an unexpected state of despair following a failed, dysfunctional relationship.
